National primary school chess champions, grades 1-3: Rimaskóli's A team.

Fjölnir's engaging chess sessions and Björn Ívar's instruction at Rimaskóli are clearly paying dividends, continuing a trend from previous years. Students from Rimaskóli gave an impressive performance at the Iceland Championship for Primary School Chess Teams, grades 1-3, hosted at the school on March 14. The A team claimed the national title, the B team finished first among all B teams, and the C team placed first among all C teams. A clean sweep. The students competed with focus, enthusiasm, and joy. In total, 21 chess teams—around 100 children—competed in the Rimaskóli gymnasium.
